Here Is What You Can Expect From Game Of Thrones Season 7

Game Of Thrones Season 6 started by fulfilling expectations and dragged on with major twists in between. With the final two episodes of the show serving as the perfect appetizers, GOT Season 6 has only got us more intrigued regarding what the future holds for the seven kingdoms. We are not really unhappy about the season 6 coming to an end. We are pretty much impatient for the next season to air. ‘42 weeks’ that’s about how long we have to wait for Game Of Thrones Season 7 to air. And by the feel of it, season 7 could be Epic. Jon Snow might finally know something is what the predictions say. So here is what you can expect from Game Of Thrones season 7

Sam The Saviour Of Westeros

Sam’s quest in season 6 dealing with his reunion with family at Horn Hill and then his journey to Oldtown was a trivial screen presence compared to what Sam deserves. Or things are only going to get interesting from here on for Sam. With Sam’s love for books and his part ending with his expression of being overwhelmed after entering the expansive Citadel’s library in season 6, he could just turn out to be the savior of the world. You wanna know how?

The Citadel is a safe-keeper of ancient knowledge and Sam can now easily make use of the books to feed on as much knowledge as he pleases. Sam could learn an ancient spell and stop the war between the dead and living or he could just keep the white walkers at bay. Sam could even learn to create the Valyrian steel or find a dragon glass mine. One thing seems certain at the moment, Sam will be a hero.

Jamie The Queen Slayer

The prophecy about Cersei losing all her children has come true and as the prophecy foretold by Maggy in season 5 continues, Cersei will lose her power to a younger and more beautiful queen. Ahem! So is Dany the one the prophecy is talking about? But the season 6 finale clearly indicates, Jamie’s fury watching his sister’s inhuman act. Jamie arrives at the Kings Landing only to be a witness to the Sept Of Baelor rising up in smokes, learning of his precious son’s death and finally being a spectator to his sister’s takeover of the iron throne.

Jamie definitely does not look happy with Cersei and we are all aware of what the King-slayer has done in the past to protect the city from burning to hell. Jamie did get the title of the King Slayer after slaying the Mad King Aerys for doing exactly what Cersei has been doing now. As per the ubiquitous theories, Jamie might have to act in a similar fashion against Cersei too as Jamie is the only one left of the Lannisters, who continues to show signs of having a heart.

Jamie Takes Tyrion’s Side

Presumably, the twin to Cersei refuses to pull the trigger against his sister, Dany and her troops are not far behind. What if Jamie sees Tyrion, his most loved brother, on Daenerys side and makes up his mind to join in the battle to the Iron Throne against his sister? As per the prophecy of Maggy, though it finds no place in the episodes, Cersei will be meeting her end in the hands of a ‘Valyrian’, a word used for younger brother. While one would like to believe that Tyrion is the one with hands ready to be bloodied with Cersei’s murder, Jamie too is a younger sibling to Cersei, even though it is only by a few minutes.

The Game Of The Masters

It is no hidden fact that Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger is the architect of the entire Game Of Thrones.  Be it the war between the five kings, the deadly rivalry between Starks and Lannisters, Littlefinger has caused every big turn in Game Of Thrones to revolve in a cunning fashion where he disappears leaving behind his crooked trails of shrewdness. Littlefinger now clearly aims at sitting on the Iron Throne maybe with Sansa as his queen. The master with a mind as cunning as a fox cannot be wiped clear of intentions that show that he wants to grow a rivalry between Sansa and Snow and maybe bring an end to Snow. (Though We Are Sure That Is Not Happening). Season 7 will definitely have a lot of Littlefinger style tactics for all the fans.

Littlefinger is not alone when it comes to pulling the strings. In the ‘The Winds Of Winter’ Varys was seen at Dorne, plotting a ploy against the Lannisters with Ollena and the Snakes. The next moment, Varys was seen with Dany and Tyrion helping the duo gain all the power. Varys could now join Dany’s army with that of the army at Dorne, ready to seek revenge against Lannisters.

Arya On A Murdering Spree

You are happy that Walter Frey is gone? Are You happy that Arya is steadily turning into a murderer? Yes or no, her murder spree shall continue come what may. If future can be told, Arya is most likely to come across Melisandre, who is now banished from the North. Melisandre had earlier come across Arya and had forecasted her future as a many-faced-assassin. Assassin and many-faced is what Arya is now but her next meeting with Melisandre will be violent without doubts. Remember, Melisandre is still on Arya’s kill list for taking Gendry, the bastard son of Rob Baratheon, away from her.

While, Arya and Melisandre’s meeting could be absolutely intriguing, what with The Hound’s return in  Season 6, a clash between Arya and The Hound seems inevitable. As per the ravens of today’s times, Melisandre might join the brotherhood, where The Hound has already found a place. It could be here that Arya gets into a fierce battle with both Melisandre and The Hound. Bloody! Isnt It?

Queen Of The North?

Sansa Stark might be savoring the moment of victory as Jon Snow is anHere Is What You Can Expect From Game Of Thrones Season 7 2nounced the King Of The North (Lynna Mormont made it happen very easily), but does she get any credit for the same? Kit Harington and Sophie Turner, the ones playing Jon Snow and Sansa Stark respectively have acknowledged to the fact that not all is going to be rosy for the cousins from here onwards. While, Jon Snow’s naïve behavior towards everything that is going on around him is certain to bring hell down upon him, Sansa does not seem calm. She has had her revenge and now she seems hungry for power. She has shown that she has no qualms left in herself and even Littlefinger cannot, anymore, have his way easily with Sansa. So, will Sansa go against her cousin and reign as the Queen of North?

Bran Stark The Show Spoiler

If you were among those who were thoroughly displeased with Bran Stark, you might continue staying so even throughout season 7. Bran Stark could now be responsible for breaking the spell that keeps the White Walkers on the other side of the wall. The White Walkers could all now horde Westeros all prepared for an attack that they might have been preparing for since ever.

While Game Of Thrones has never played by the books, it will be delightful to watch how much of the above will come true. The Mondays are not gonna be the same anymore and we cannot escape from this fact. But a few months of wait will bring us closer to another whole new chapter from the Game Of Thrones and we cannot control our excitement to watch, Jon Snow, Sansa, Cersei, Jamie, Tyrion and Dany once again.

And now my watch has ended.
